How to Look Handsome, Even if You are not Good Looking, first of all my response to you if you think you're not good-looking that's complete horseshit I'm not saying you are good-looking but you can be much better-looking if you care it every human being has the ability to look very good but that needs effort and care looking good does not mean you join the likes of top models and actors it means you'd be the best you can look which you currently aren't do I think looking at is something you should care about what I want you to care about is looking presentable because that subconsciously impacts others opinions about you so that is important.

Obsessively looking into a mirror and clicking pictures of yourself to get more likes makes you a moron just because the world does it doesn't make it any less moronic but working hard toward a healthy lifestyle eating well to keep your mind and body sharp looking presentable may actually result in you looking very good but that is a by-product you should cherish not something you should aim lessly pursue for social acceptance having said that this is article is all about solving some of your insecurities in case you are conscious about the way you look.

Very quickly I would go through how to fix facial disappointments.

First fix your eyebrows people subconsciously take eyebrows into consideration a lot a simple adjustment in your eyebrows can drastically change visual perception get yourself a tweezer or an eyebrow flutter place a cone vertically at one side of your nose and pluck out everything that falls in and then place it on the other side and do the same eyebrows has been done.

Second, grow us double stubble is a light beard as opposed to tens or whatever I have chances are the reason why you find yourself unattractive is you don't have a symmetrical jawline have chubby cheeks whatever it may be the solution is a beard again not a beard like myself this isn't commonly considered attractive either what I mean is generous amount of hairs that cover everything and don't demand special care.

Third, if you have warts moles acne scars uneven skin darkening or any sort of skin problem go visit a dermatologist and learn about your skin type this is making you insecure affecting your confidence and affecting your life this is money well spent what else is money for if not for you a dermatologist will make you understand what effect the products you are using are having on your skin if you're making a mistake you are buying products because dumb-ass film starts her promising you because they took money you have no idea of what you're actually applying on your face and about your skin type no wonder you've never had a product that actually made a real visible change.

Fourth, workout the science of attraction is rooted in our evolutionary behavior and that teaches us that our brain sees a great body as a sign of great health which is why both men and women find themselves attracted to and admiring great bodies second reason you need to start working out is for clothes not only fit on you but look great on you that's the purpose of fashion we wear clothes to look attractive when a person looks at you their vision allows a collective view of you as a whole not just a face a face is one part of the whole so taking the worst-case scenario let's say your face is 1 out of 10 your body can balance that out and make you a 6 out of 10 as a whole.

Fifth, Hair, the point of a haircut is structure think about the time you think your hair look sexiest it is when you are out of the shower their vet shining in place where you want them and you love it because you are looking good but then what happens in a few hours they are out of control what does that say you simply don't care there's a reason why there are vats clay gel vomit the truth with men is because we don't have long hair the tendency to care for them have them in shape have them all this look good doesn't exist out of convenience we consider our fingers to be the best hair styling tools to look good you have to have manageable length of hair you're going to take care of and there are plenty of videos on YouTube that can teach you how to have great looking hair and lastly your impression which constitutes attitude posture and how you present yourself this is the most important part.

I'm sure you've seen average looking dudes with really attractive girls your first assumption is e must be filthy rich that's your insecure brain fighting you comfort for somebody to feel that you look good has everything to do with what they normally get impressed by which means a lot of factors other than just looks come into play for example if you dress yourself well it subconsciously communicates to others that you take yourself seriously your body language or posture tells a lot about your personality and mood whether you are lazy timid confident boring exciting proud happy sad etc you yourself analyze people's personalities just by looking at them all the time that's how our brains work just from their facial expressions you're able to tell if they're bored uninterested distracted focus series have be excited most importantly how you talk and what you make people feel when you interact design your impression the most for example when you smile and show interest in what others have to say it makes people trust you and open up if you make people laugh easily it makes others think you're confident if you're loud and makes sense people may even think you're a leader so there are host of behaviors that make people think of a lot of things and a lot of those things very easily could be things that they'd find attractive which may attract them to you.

Very simply but humans have subconscious doors of opinions that they are cash to symbols signs certain behaviors and visual information their subconscious store concerning what is good-looking will have a lot more than just good looks that they would be attracted to just like how a matured mind one care for looks but for overall personalities of people so if you want to be good-looking satisfy what people generally are interested in looking at and are looking for I hope you're having a good thing.

Why is it difficult to lose lower belly fat?

Lower belly fat occurs when the visceral fats accumulate at one place. These fats aren't the same as other skin fats which you find below the skin, as they accumulate between the internal organs and the torso. This leads to lower belly fat or pot belly as is popularly known. Since these fats are not located below the skin, it becomes very difficult to lose lower belly fat. Fats located below the skin are comparatively easy to lose with exercise and sweating.
No exercise, sedentary work, no walking, etc. leads to accumulation of fats. The intake habits remain the same, but lack of exercise or walking does not burn calories, and it gets accumulated in the body.

Another very common reason that leads to lower belly fat is going off to sleep soon after lunch or dinner. This slows down the metabolism activity, and hampers the digestion process, which again leads to accumulation of fats.

Besides these, some hormonal imbalances also lead to lower belly fat and obesity. However, for most of the people or we can say most of the time the eating habit and bad lifestyle that leads to lower belly fat.

Abdominal exercises are very effective in reducing the lower belly fat. These work-outs not only tone the abdomen and increase the overall flexibility of the body but also prevent accumulation of fat around the belly. So, you must be regular and dedicated in performing these abdominal fat burning exercises and have some patience for the good effects to be visible.

Exercise 1: Firstly, you have to lie down on your back on a flat mat on the floor. Now lift your legs and move them as if you're vigorously cycling. This fairly simply exercise actually firms up the weak stomach muscles in the body. Do the cycling for 5 minutes, three times each.

Exercise 2: After that, here comes the second exercise, lie down on your back on a flat mat placed on the floor. Raise your legs vertically up and stay in that position for 5-15 seconds. Repeat this exercise three times.

Exercise 3: Lie on the floor with your legs stretching straight ahead. Now place your hands behind the head with fingers locked. Then raise your upper body towards your knees, just hold on for few seconds and rest back on the floor. Do this exercise continuously for 15 times and repeat this set 4-5 times.

Exercise 4: Lie on the floor with your legs raised and kept on a bench or a chair so that your legs are at an angle of 900 to the rest of the body. Now clasp your hands behind the head and lift the upper body as if you are attempting to touch the knees. Do this 15 times and repeat this set for 3-4 times.

If you have realized that your abdomen has grown owing to child birth and delivery, then you must practice pulling the tummy towards the spine of the body, several times in the day. This can be practices while you are sitting, standing and even while walking. Suck the breath in and keep the abdominal muscles clenched inside. Then relax for some time and repeat the abdominal contractions several times.

In the beginning you may find it difficult to keep the tummy tucked inside. But soon you will learn to make it a habit and lose all the unnecessary lower belly fat.

If you are not sure, a simple blood test is usually enough. Treatment includes two or three weeks of antibiotics. Despite what you may have read in the articles on Lyme disease available in libraries and on the Internet, the disease is completely curable and leaves no long-term side effects, if proper treatment is used from the beginning. As usual, it is better to prevent infection than to treat the disease, so specialists recommend caution when living, walking or camping in tick-infested areas.

Causes of Lyme disease and Lyme disease prevention

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Lyme disease is an infectious condition with very unpleasant consequences. Fortunately, although it was first diagnosed only 30 years ago, the causes of Lyme disease are now well known and thoroughly researched, so it is quite possible to ensure the effective prevention of Lyme disease in many high-risk areas. The disease occurs if you are infected with a bacterium called Borrelia burgdorferi, which is caused by the bites of so-called ticks (Ixodes dammini in the United States and Ixodes ricinis in Europe). Don't let the name fool you, these ticks are not only found on deer; they can be carried by any furry animal and usually live in areas with woods and tall grass. But ultimately everyone wants to know this: how can it be prevented and is Lyme disease contagious too?

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The best method of preventing Lyme disease is to avoid tick bites. This is not as simple as it sounds. Ticks are tiny creatures, the size of a sesame seed, and can easily hide in the folds of skin. However, they are slow-moving insects and therefore are not likely to reach the whole body. Also, a tick must be embedded in the skin for at least 24 hours before transmitting the infection; so if you find one, you can remove it in time. Use tweezers to carefully remove them and clean the area with a disinfectant and, most importantly, do not panic; Only about 1% to 3% of the bites cause the infection.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">When walking in tall grass or tick-infested areas, wear long pants and sleeves and check your entire body carefully every night before going to bed. Insect repellents are highly recommended for the prevention of Lyme disease - particularly DEET (which is quite common and found in most brands available on the market today). When using the repellent, make sure it contains less than 10% DEET, otherwise, it may be harmful.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">So Lyme disease is contagious? The answer is no. The infection cannot spread from one human being to another, not even from one sick animal to another. There are no other known causes of Lyme disease except tick bites; As far as we know, the disease cannot be caused by other insects (flies, mosquitoes, fleas, etc.). However, as a common-sense prevention method for Lyme disease, people who know they have the disease should not donate blood.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Even cases of mothers who transmit the disease to their children are rare and are also considered the only situations in which Lyme disease can be contagious; However, the condition is very difficult to treat in pregnant women, mainly because antibiotic treatment can harm the fetus. There is no evidence that a breastfeeding mother with Lyme disease can transmit it to her child, but it is generally recommended to discontinue breastfeeding during treatment.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">A vaccine has been developed for the prevention of Lyme disease, effective in about 85% of cases, but is recommended only for those who work or live in high-risk conditions. There are no signs immediately after the tick bite. Generally, the first symptoms of Lyme disease occur within a week to a month after the bite and closely resemble rashes or other skin conditions. The rash does not have a very well-defined shape, but the most common is the rash, defined by a round or oval shape, with a pale area in the center. Also, the rash sometimes appears at the tick-bite site, but it can also appear anywhere else on the body. If you notice the problem, the easiest way to find out if it is one of the first symptoms of Lyme disease is to check how quickly it grows. It is recommended to draw a circle around the rash using a pen. If it is a symptom of Lyme disease, it will spread beyond the circle within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, the other early symptoms of Lyme disease are even more difficult to detect and include fatigue, headache, and high fever - the so-called "flu-like illness". Of course, this stage is easily mistaken for flu or a seasonal allergy - but you must remember that the symptoms of Lyme disease never include runny nose, sore throat or cough - so this can guide you.

In some situations, it can be replaced by amoxiccycline. For later phases (which include chronic arthritis, cardiac and neurological manifestations), cures for Lyme disease are based on stronger antibiotics, such as benzylpenicillin or ceftriaxon. Hello friends,Today, I would like share our views on a serious issue i.e. making films on stammering.

So, Today's topic is Bollywood and Stammering. As you know,
there are two upcoming movies the first movie is Kirti Kulhari starer Indu Sarkar and the second one is Ranbir Kapoor starer Jagga Jasoos. In both of these movies, main lead actor and actress have problems with stammering. I do not understand one thing why do Bollywood filmmakers take the help of stammering to entertain the audience. Does Bollywood have a shortage of content today, which is the stage for it to resort to serious problems like stammering? Even before this, too many movies have been made on stammering in Bollywood. Like Golmaal 3, Kaminey, Zuban, etc

Through my blog, I want to draw the attention of all the directors who have made and composed such subject-based movies on stammering. Stammering is a serious problem, ask the person who is stammering what happens to him when he is stammering in front of other people. Ask him how you feel when people are on your side. Live with stammering is like to live every single day with struggle.

The person who stammering is a victim of humiliation, in the same way, these movies also humiliate him. Bollywood will have to understand that stammering is not a medium for them to entertain the audience, but they must understand that making such movies is making fun of those who stammer.
Twenty-six-year-old Bhagwant Anmol was one particular one who was experiencing stuttering, often called stammering. He not only overcame this issue but is currently helping people get over it.

He started out stammering at age. He says that conquering this issue has too much to do with how one handles it.

"ONCE I was 20, it was the most detrimental that I ever before sensed. I couldn't even speak a word without stammering. Out of desperation, I consulted many doctors, speech therapists, and private hospitals. But didn't see any results," says Bhagwant.

He started stammering at the age of. He says that overcoming this problem has a lot to do with how one deals with it.

“When I was 20, it was the worst that I ever felt. I couldn’t even speak a complete sentence without stuttering. Out of desperation, I consulted many doctors, speech therapists, and hospitals. But failed to see any results,” says Bhagwant.

With the help of a specch therapist, he discovered the root of the stammering problem..

"This is really because of short breathing, speaking fast, and the individuals mindset. Usually, such people don't stammer when they sings a song . I started doing for much longer breaths by speaking slowly but surely just like performing a tune. Even in the school when a instructor asked me any question, I used to reply very much the same. I had managed to get an integral part of my lifestyle,"

“This happens because of short breath, high speed, and the person’s psychology. Usually, such people don’t stammer while singing. I started practicing for longer breaths by speaking slowly just like singing a song. Even in the class when a teacher asked me any question, I used to reply in the same manner. I had made it a part of my lifestyle,” says Bhagwant.

Bhagwant overcome his stammering problem when he was 22.

In feb 2017, bhagwant started Indian institute of speech therapy and currently they have some students. they provide them 30 days training and said to continue this method for six months to see the improvement.
If a pws devote more time for exercising his speech mechanism, his speech mechanism would become more flexible and he can speak more clearly & sharply .

For giving more exercise to speech mechanism, practicing silent speech therapy was one of the best option. What a pws has to do was whenever he was having free time while walking, sitting, traveling, waiting for someone else, even during bathing etc... he has to repeat the practicing phrases with a low voice (audible to himself only) opening mouth (full or half mouth depending upon the situations) This is called silent speech therapy.

This silent speech therapy can be practiced 5, 10, or 15 minutes depending upon the availability of free time . This practice can be done on a piecemeal basis also . That's if a pws find 10 minutes time for 6 times in a day and if he make use of all the six 10 minutes free time, he had done 10X6=60 minutes of silent speech therapy. So, the pws need not spare separate time for silent speech therapy. If more time was available, he can make use of that time also . More practicing the silent speech therapy , his speech mechanism become more flexible and he can be able to speak with EASE..

Some pws were telling that it was difficult for them to pronounce certain words. This could be due to VERY LESS usage of those certain words by their speech mechanism. Such pws can practice silent speech therapy using those feared words so that in due course of time, their speech mechanism become flexible with those feared words and thus they can able to speak without stammering.

Only dedication & sustained efforts were required to carry out silent speech therapy practice, because carrying out activities involved in it were very easy only.

Head movement is very very important. Because of head movement, our whole body getting relaxed which results in less stammering.

I analyze that daily practicing with Head Moments gives you a calm way to speak.

So, We all PWS to use their head movements while speaking. After sometimes you will really get
surprise, that you will speak really well and relaxed. The most important thing is, whenever we get blocks, we will easily overcame it using more head moments.

You can use your head movement as given below :

1. While practicing.

2. While speaking.

3. While listening others speech.

4. While reading newspaper, books, files at office etc

5. While listening songs

6. In short, always use the head movement except while sleeping.

In my previous article, I wrote about FAQ on stammering and the members are requested to read it once again before reading this one. In that article, the last point was a pws could conquer his stammering if he practices continuously some kind of techniques one hour daily for a minimum period of one year.

In this article, we will see what kind of technique to be selected and practiced. Before going into details about the techniques, let us understand about what are the body & mind system differences between a pws and a non-pws.

Though the root cause of stammering has not yet been found out, it has been generally accepted worldwide that it started with a neurological problem during childhood and later on developed into a psychological one. But the stammering can be successfully controlled to an extent of upto 99.5% and many pws all over the world have done it.

The difference between pws and non-pws Mind & Body systems are given below:

MIND SYSTEM

By default, a pws always thinks faster than that of non-pws. That’s, pws speed of thinking is faster compared to a non-pws. A non-pws, most of the time thinking in the same speed that of his speaking speed. Where as a pws thinking speed is faster, and even a non-pws could not speak without stammering in that thinking speed. Hence it is very important for a pws to slowdown his thinking pattern ie to change his default faster thinking pattern into a new default slower thinking pattern.

BODY SYSTEM

1. PWS are generally shallow breathers. A non-pws usually breathe about 15 times a minute compared to a pws breathing rate of about 20 times per minute. Due to blocks in their speech while stammering, they were unable to inhale sufficient quantum of air into their lungs. As everybody knows, sound will be formed while exhaling air. Because of stammering by pws over the years , they were in the habit of using less air and became shallow breathers. It is a debatable one whether shallow breathing by a pws is due to by system default incorrect breathing habits from the childhood. Anyhow pws has to practice for deep breathing techniques and increase their lungs capacity.

2. PWS while speaking is not stressing each syllable (sound) of every words for fear of stammering which resulted hardening and toughening of their speaking mechanism muscles, less articulation of his tongue, not fully opening his mouth while speaking etc. Hence pws have to relax their speech mechanism muscles by suitable exercises.

Every pws can observe that whenever they were speaking fluently, their thinking pattern was slow which in turn breathing rate also.

To control stammering, a pws has to achieve the following:

1. Slowdown his thinking pattern.

2. Increase his lungs capacity and become a deep breather.

3. Relax all his speaking mechanism muscles.

A pws has to choose a technique in such a way that it has to take care of all the above three aspects. There are lot of techniques available. One or other pws were successfully control their stammering using various techniques and few of the techniques are given below.

1. Speech therapy.

2. Slow reading.

3. Meditation & breathing exercise.

4. Breathing exercise & yoga.

5. Hypnotism.

To my opinion, I rate speech therapy as No.1 technique because it holistically take care of all the above three problems by practicing one technique.. That’s, if a pws practice one hour of speech therapy, it is equivalent to getting benefits of practicing one hour slow reading, one hour breathing exercise and one hour exercise for relaxing speech mechanism muscles. The success rate of speech therapy is more than 80%. And the chances of relapsing of stammering is also very minimal.

I rate slow reading technique as No.2, because breathing exercise is missing in here. The success rate is about 40 – 50%. The practicing period is more than that of speech therapy. The chance of relapse of stammering is also more compare to speech therapy in the absence of breathing excercise.

I rate meditation & breathing exercises as No.3 for the reason that because both slow reading and speech mechanism relaxation exercises were missing here. Moreover, both the above techniques have to be learned from a real guru to get maximum benefits.

Here also the relapsing chance and practicing period are more compared to the first two techniques.

I heard about few pws controlled their stammering by doing Yoga and some other by doing Hypnotism. Since I don’t know about the above two techniques, I was not able to comment on it.

The above techniques and time required are in general nature only which varies from pws to pws depends upon their severity, biological factors, intensity of practicing, the choice of technique they opted for etc.

The reason for practicing any technique one hour daily is, only after 15 – 20 minutes of practicing, the real mind set will come and hence one hour practice is a must. This is just like Tennis players playing warm up before start playing actual match.

Similarly, the reason for doing practice a technique for a minimum period of one year is, a pws is changing his original default system into a new default system. Also pws is wrong thing (though unknowingly or unintentionally) for many years, it is not possible to correct it within a few weeks or few months.

It is upto the individual pws to select any of the above techniques, practice it for at least one hour daily for one month, and observe the progress before switching over to another technique.

Apart from the above, below are some small activities a pws can perform during any free time everyday which will accelerate not only speech improvement but also reduce the practicing period say from one year to 10 months.

1. Write very slowly for about 10 – 15min.

2. Type very slowly in computer for about 15 min.

3. Type very slowly in mobile key board while composing sms.

4. Use chewing gums for about 1 – 2 hour.

5. Think slowly with pausing (like slow reading) for about 15 min.

6. Read silently with pausing for about 15 min.

7. Sing few songs silently for about 15 min.

8. Eat dinner very slowly.

9. Walk very slowly for about 10 min.

10. If possible, spend one whole Sunday doing all his activities very slowly.

It is not necessary that a pws has to do all the above activities. But doing more activities in a day, his thinking patterns will defiantly slowdown a bit earlier. The above activities are supplemental to the main practicing technique which has to be compulsorily done.

Apart from the above, if a pws follows some of the following which will also help to accelerate the speech improvement.

1. Avoid intake of food by 10 – 20 % if you are a heavy eater.

2. Avoid coffee, tea, aerated drinks like pepsi and coke and take more fruit juices.

3. Avoid non-veg and junk foods (Sunday exception).

4. Avoid glued into idiot box and reading newspapers except headlines.

5. Go to bed at 11pmand get up by 6am and start practicing.

6. Don’t get anger, avoid making vengeance and don’t get jealousy on other persons.

7. Always be helpful to others.

8. Listen some good music before sleeping.

9. Help fellow pws at any time at any cost.

10. Disclose all the above to your family like parents, wife, brothers & sisters and also your close friends and close colleagues and seek their help if pws wants one. After all stammering is a social disability and we need socity support also.

AND ABOVE ALL, ACCEPT YOUR STAMMERING AND DON’T TRY TO HIDE IT. IF YOU HIDE IT, YOUR PRACTICING PERIOD WILL BE INCREASED TO MORE THAN ONE YEAR.

In the 3rd and concluding article, I'll write about how to sustain a pws motivation, enthusiasm & interest to practise a technique for one year or even more if required.

1. Speak openly about your stammering with your family, friends and colleagues.

2. Discuss with them about TISA, SHG meetings, Whatsapp etc.

3. Speak about your stammering with your boss at appropriate time, and the steps you are taking now to overcome the problem.

4. When someone asks "Are you a stammerer?". Without any hesitation, shame and fear accept your stammering wholeheartedly and reply only "Yes". That’s all. No Ifs and Buts like "I stammer rarely", "Whenever I talk to strangers only, I will stammer" etc.

5. Before starting of interview and before giving power point presentation or speech to the audience, tell to them that"I will stammer here and there and kindly bear with me".

Voluntarily stutter while buying things at shops and ordering at restaurants.

These are only few things. A little bit of courage is required at the beginning. After that no one can stop you. Those who are interested can try this.

Acceptance of stammering is accept your stammering at any place, at any time, at any circumstances and with everybody without any shame and fear in your mind. Because we are not doing any crime by the act of stammering. In fact, we don't know why we are stammering.

Suppose someone ask you "Are you a stammerer?." You simply reply "yes" and stop there . That's all. Instead don't tell "I will stammer slightly only ; I will stammer to the strangers only; I stammer when I tell my name only ; etc.. etc..

You have to frequently discuss about your stammering with your parents, close relatives, close friends etc.. like" Now I know the meaning of acceptance and learned practicing techniques to overcome stammering and practicing daily".

By doing this, your fear and shame over stammering would considerably reduced which in turn relieve off your stress baggage you were carrying so long. Without acceptance, no practicing technique will overcome your stammering. You have to remember one thing. We don't need any sympathy from others, but we need their support and encouragement to overcome your stammering.

Please keep it in mind that stammering is a social related problem and you need others support. Because you know very well that you won't stammer when you are alone. Also keep it in mind that you cannot secretly overcome your stammering by simply hiding behind a computer or a smart phone. You have to face the world boldly.

So, accept your stammering whole heartily without any shame & fear, practice speech therapy regularly for one year, overcome your stammering, forget about your speech thereafter and enjoy the life happily forever.

For easy understanding I have given it in a Q&A format. The answer is based on my experiences gained in my life. Most of the answers are in general nature only. Please note that whenever I used the word GENERAL, it means that it was applicable to about 80% PWS. 20% PWS are always exceptional and may not match with my experience and perception. I have also given reasoning for my answers logically. But this not 100% correct and I may be wrong also.

1. What Causes the Stammering?

Ans- No single cause has yet been found out. It is believed that it is a Neurological problem, which is causing synchronization problem between thought process and speech mechanism. Sometimes, I stammer while speaking with my wife and with my close relatives and friends also even at good mood. This shows that there is some neurological problem in my body.

2. What is the percentage of Stammerers?

Ans- It has been believed that 1% of world population is stammerers. My feeling is that this figure has been exaggerated. For supporting my argument, the following are my reasoning.

a) Except my father, no another PWS in my entire family (both from my Father & Mother’s side).

b) I studied in 3 schools and I came across only one PWS.

c) During 4 years of Engineering course, I had not met even a single PWS.

3. What is the ratio between male and female PWS?

Ans- It has been believed that the ratio is 4:1. I feel this ratio figure is also an exaggerated one. To my opinion, the ratio should be in the order of about 10:1 only.

4. Is stammering heredity?

Ans- Yes. About 50% of PWS fathers or their close relatives (mostly from father’s side) are PWS.

5. Is stammering a bad habit?

Ans- No. It is not a bad habit. Bad habit means learning stammering from others. But I heard many PWS who came for their first meeting saying that they were seeing for the first time another PWS in their life. Then how could stammering be a bad habit?

6. Is stammering curable?

Ans- This is a very important question that every PWS must find out the answer for themselves. The general answer is medically it is not curable because its cause is not yet been found out. To me “Cure” is a relative term for PWS and others. If a PWS speaks fluently but still having some inner fear means he has cured 99% of his stammering. But for the listeners, his cure is 100%.Similarly, if another PWS having stammering outwardly but no inner fear means, it doesn’t mean that he has cured 100% inwardly, but he is living with peace himself. But for his stammering speech, he has to face the consequences in his life.

7. Is “ACCEPTANCE” of stammering alone is sufficient for a PWS to lead a better life?

Ans- There is no doubt that “ACCEPTACE” is a must for all PWS to get rid of their shame, fear and emotional feelings towards stammering. It may be helpful for a mild and very moderate PWS to speak reasonably well. But for moderate and severe PWS, some techniques are required to control their stammering.

8. Is it practically possible for PWS to use some techniques during stammering in a real speaking situations?.

Ans- I also read some techniques like in-block and post-block corrections, cancellation, bouncing, prolongation etc. It is generally very difficult to implement it in the real speaking situations, as all the PWS are always want to complete the sentence at the earliest and come out of the situation.I think bouncing technique can be used for the feared words and prolongation technique at the starting of a conversation.

9. Can a PWS overcome his stammering if his secondary symptoms are eliminated?

Ans - Not possible. Because the root cause of any secondary symptom is due to stammering only and not visa verse. If stammering vanished or controlled, accordingly the secondary symptom will also automatically vanished or reduced.

10. Is it a problem for a pws to get marry and lead a good life after marriage?

Ans- This question cannot be easily answered. It depends upon so many factors like acceptance of the stammering by the bride, her economic conditions, family relationship, love etc. But in cities, women are educated and most of them are working and earning good salary also. Social gathering becomes part of their life. They used to attend weekend parties. After marriage, they won’t stop the habit of going weekend parties and that time if her husband happened to be a PWS, it will be really a very complicated situation for both of them.

11. In a simple terms, what a PWS has to do to conquer his stammering and lead a normal life like others?

Ans- It is sufficient for a PWS to read the above 10 points to understand about stammering. Beyond that, it is learning of unnecessary knowledge only which leads to more confusion towards understanding of stammering. It is just like “Too many cooks spoil the broth”.

In plain words, a PWS should not use his intelligence in asking many about stammering. From my experience, those PWS, who were asking less doubts are really progressing well.

· Do practice a technique consistently for a period of one year.

· If possible, use prolongation and bouncing techniques during the practicing period to avoid any embracing situations.

· And last but not the least, accept your stammering lifelong. Because even after one year of practice, the stammer may come occasionally.

I hope I had covered almost all the points about stammering.. If you got any doubts, you are always welcome to ask.
We have already seen the difference between conscious and subconscious minds. Those who joined recently read that earlier post again. We learned that conscious mind is having analyzing capacity whereas the subconscious mind doesn’t. The subconscious mind will store all the belief systems as it is (right or wrong) that was analyzed by conscious mind. Subconscious mind is a powerful one. Once a belief system entered into it, the subconscious mind would not allow erasing it easily even conscious mind now tells to it that “Now I learned that I put a wrong belief system on you long back and I wanted to correct it now”. The conscious mind has to substantiate it with reasoning and also has to practically convince subconscious mind to agree for it.

Likewise, at our younger age due to lack of proper knowledge about stammering and proper guidance, the conscious mind of a PWS mistakenly made believed the subconscious mind that he could speak with stammering only. Since this wrong belief was put into the subconscious mind over many years, the subconscious firmly believes that a PWS cannot speak normally and will not allow easily to erase it.Then, what is the solution for this? As said earlier, a PWS conscious mind has to convince to his subconscious mind with logical reasoning that he can speak normally now.

How to convince a PWS subconscious mind?. For this, his conscious mind has first convince itself that “ After joining TISA and after practicing techniques, my speech is improving day by day”. To achieve, the PWS has to work hard, improve his speech and gain confidence day by day.

After gaining some confidence, the PWS conscious mind has to talk to the subconscious mind like this “ Dear subconscious mind, I wrongly put a belief system on you when I was young that I could speak with stammering only. Now after joining TISA ,I am practicing every day and will be able to speak well in one year time (Specifying time is the most important). The PWS can talk to his subconscious mind as many times as possible.

Conscious mind:

The conscious mind is the part of your mind that is responsible for logic reasoning. If I asked you about the sum of 5+5, it’s your conscious mind that is going to be used to make that addition. It also controls all the actions that you do on intention while being conscious. It’s also known as gate keeper for the mind. If someone tried to present you with a belief that doesn't match with your belief system, then your conscious mind will filter that belief.

Subconscious mind:

The subconscious mind is the part of your mind responsible for all your involuntary actions. Your breathing rate and heart beats are controlled by your subconscious mind. If you started to control your breath on intention, then know that your conscious mind took charge while if you are breathing without being conscious of the breathing process, then know that your subconscious mind is in charge.Your emotions are controlled by subconscious mind. It’s also the place where your belief and memories are stored.

Compared to conscious mind, the subconscious mind is many more times powerful.

Here you must understand one important difference between these two minds. Conscious mind has the capacity to analyze and think logically with reasoning for each and every incident. But subconscious mind is not having such a capacity to analyze and will always accepts conscious mind's decision without asking any questions. ie subconscious mind does not have the capacity whether conscious mind decision is right or wrong and store it as it is. Hence it is very difficult to remove any belief system (right or wrong) stored in the subconscious mind.

Now let us see the role of subconscious mind with respect to stammering. When we were young, our conscious mind believed that we could not speak without stammering and this belief system entered in our subconscious mind over a period of time and stored there firmly.

Hi!! My dear Friends..

My First Conversation with Manimaran Sir, I have received some of the facts of Stammering. He said to me that Most of the pws knows that stammering is also a neurological related problem and cannot be cured 100%.

Having knowing the fact very well that stammering could not be cured 100%, what benefit a pws would get when we always telling to them again & again that stammering could not be cured 100%. This negative thinking de motivating them only from practicing continuously.Another point is if a severe pws overcomes 90%, a moderate pws overcomes 95% and a mild pws overcomes 99% of his stammering, I feel this itself was great achievement for them.

Some improvement is better than no improvement. He also said that accept your stammering, learn to speak comfortable stammering, then you would be peace with yourself. The real fact is, if that particular pws successfully overcome 80% of its stammering, that itself is a great achievement & blessing for him.

Now let's discuss about the term"Accept your stammering and be peace with yourself ". To my opinion, this term is not a general team which can be applied to all pws. This is only a relative one.

For example if a pws 'X', is in a good job and fairy settled in life, then the above term may apply to him. If a pws 'Y' borrowed educational loan from bank & still jobless , the above term won't apply to 'Y'. He needs some kind of fluency also to attend interviews & get a decent job, for which he needs to do some speech practice.

At the same time, We should not complicate our stammering also .

1st accept our stammering, get rid of our fear & shame and remove our emotional baggage.

2nd, since because of our stammered speech over the years, we made our speech mechanism into a faulty one. To bring back the speech mechanism into a correct speaking condition, some kind of physical speech practice / exercises is needed for the speech mechanism. Speech therapy is one way of correcting it.
Hi!! My friends. I am Going to share my experience of stammering with all of you guys. It was about one year ago. I just left my job and searching the solution of my stammering. One day on searching on internet i got to know about TISA ( The Indian Stammering Association). After a long time exploring the internet i get through TISA Facebook page. After Joining TISA i attended a SHG (Selp Help Groups) Meeting which was organized in Central Park, New Delhi. First time in my life i feels that i am not alone in this world to tackle this problem. There are many guys who are dealing with this stammering. On that days in SHG i feel very relaxed and calm. Guys i recommend you to Join SHG Group of your area to explore your self.
